Activate

Click activate when you want to make a draft quiz go live so quiz participants can take it. Activating a quiz will create a unique quiz code.

AI (short for Artificial Intelligence)

Refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.

Allow quiz retake

When setting quiz conditions, this is an option to allow quiz participants to take a quiz again.

Ask AI

Enables quiz masters to autogenerate answers to questions they give. For AI generated answers to work well, the question should be grammatically correct and be about factual information on a widely known topic.

Britannica resources

Trusted curriculum resources to meet the individual research and learning needs of students and educators across the spectrum of education.

Finish

When a quiz is no longer active, it transfers to the Finished tab. Individual mode quizzes are finished on the Live tab. Together mode quizzes are automatically finished when they get to the Results page at the end.

Generation (also autogenerate)

When the AI creates questions and/or answers automatically.

Limit quiz time

When setting quiz conditions, this option limits the amount of time in which a question must be answered with a countdown.

Live

Is when quizzes are able to be taken by quiz participants.

Lobby

After the quiz master activates a quiz by clicking "Go Live", they are then redirected to the lobby where they can share the quiz URL, code, invitation. They can also preview the quiz material at this stage. Quiz participants also see the lobby after they enter their name and quiz code.

Multiple choice

The multiple choice question type allows the respondent to choose one or multiple options from a list of possible answers.

Open book

Unlike traditional closed book tests where students are required to rely solely on their recall of test topics, open book tests allow students to consult reference materials (notes, textbook, etc.) in the course of completing the test.

Open education resources

Are freely accessible, openly licensed instructional materials such as text, media, and other digital resources.

Preview material

When setting quiz conditions, this option allows quiz participants the opportunity to preview the material before starting the quiz.

Quiz code

An identifying six-digit number allocated for each activated quiz. This code in embedded in the URL when the quiz master shares the link or invitation message in the lobby. Quiz participants can also enter this code to take the quiz.

Kwizie's resource library consists of a vast bank of highly curated resources for quiz masters to base quizzes on.
